A team on Long Island, New York, is actually a wildlife conservation club at their middle school.  They just got recycling pails from the waste company and have incorporated recycling into their school.  Great job!

These interns typically do trail work in Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, NY. This winter the interns have broken up into four groups to research and develop projects about community gardens, trail marking, invasive species and trash within the park.  And they received a 2008 Youth Garden Grant from the National Gardening Association!

A team in Huntsville, Alabama created an outdoor classroom that is now enjoyed by all of the 6th-8th grade students at their inner-city school.  Different classes such as language arts, math, and science make use of the space for interactive learning.
