Because Bangladesh is overpopulated, one team is studying and creating an educational display about hydroponics - the cultivation of plants in liquid nutrient solutions rather than in soil. Hydroponics not only reduces the amount of land needed to grow crops, but decreases the amount of water pollution and creates compost material that can be used to increase the organic content of the soil for land-based agriculture. |
